IGOR the Horse needs a home
Igor first came into Longmeadow in January 2005. He was just a young colt and wasn''t used to being handled by people. He was gelded, halter trained, taught his groundmanners and then adopted into a new home. After more than a decade Igor was returned because he was not appropriate for a beginner rider. At the time he was returned Igor was easily startled. We are already starting his groundwork and teaching him how to have confidence in himself and less fearful of new items.
Igor has been trained for riding but we think he missed out on some valuable desensitization training. With more training at Longmeadow he has already come around and has more confidence. When the weather improves he will be ridden outside but he''s settled right into his training routine.
